Karl Demberg

Charles N. Demberg (Kārlis Nikolajs Dembergs) was born Nov. 11, 1896, in Ventspils, Latvia. In 1917, according to his draft registration card, he worked as an inspector for Eddystone Ammunition and lived at 1015 McDowell St. in Chester, Pennsylvania. By 1920, he had become a seaman, serving on a steamship. He became a naturalized citizen in 1931. By the time of the 1940 census, he, his wife Margaret, and son Robert were living in Brigantine City, New Jersey. They earlier had lived in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
