Theodore Demberg

Theodore G. Demberg (aka Gotfried T. Demberg) was born about 1883 in Ventpils, Latvia. He immigrated to the United States in 1902. In 1910, at age 27, he lived at 1020 Pallas St. in Philadelphia, according to the 1910 census. Boarding in the home was William Priefert, 18, a machinist's apprentice in a locomotive works. Theodore G. Demberg in 1910 married Elisabeth Lagsdon. By the time of the 1920 census, the couple had three children, all born in Pennsylvania: Harold, Alice, and Edna. Also living in the household were two of Elisabeth's sisters, Lena and Elsie Lagsdon. Theodore worked as a teacher with the YMCA.
