Christopher Iberg

Christopher John Iberg (or Eberg) was born March 24, 1884, in Jelgava (Mitau) and immigrated to the United States in November 1909, arriving in New York from Liepāja. In 1910, he boarded at 4989 Stiles St., Philadelphia, in a household in which several other Latvians lived, according to the U.S. census. Iberg spent about a year in California from 1913-1914, but then returned for a while to Philadelphia. He became a naturalized citizen in March 1916. By 1920, he was living in Los Angeles.¹

At some point in the 1920s he returned to the Philadelphia area. He married Elizabeth Iberg and they had a daughter, Alice.²

Iberg died September 9, 1935, at the age of 51.³
